Sports in School
Our PE & After School Clubs
We have a wide range of sports clubs kindly run by teachers, organisations and volunteers from the community. See our Enrichment page for a full list of what we provide and further information.
Sports Council
The Sports Council is made up of the 8 elected House Captains – 2 from each house-point (colour) group and 2 voted in PE representatives from each class (Y1-Y5).
The Sports Council meet at least once a term, with Mr B, to discuss any issues in PE/sport, to discuss upcoming events, how we can move PE/sport forward in the school etc. They take news/ideas back to class to discuss further. The Sports Council monitor the equipment in their class’s PE bag, making sure kit is brought back to the class and it’s looked after. Any lost kit is collected by them and returned to the classes.
House Captains (voted in by Y6 pupils) present Head Teachers Awards each week in the Celebration Assembly, and are a driving force behind running lunchtime activities for YR-Y5 during that break. They help with keeping the PE bags stocked and monitor use at breaks.
Swimming
In 2024/5, 76% children in Year 6 achieved 25m in various strokes and were compotent in self resuse
