FOLSS (Friends of Leonard Stanley School), is a PTFA and registered charity run by a dedicated team of volunteers who fundraise for the benefit of all the children at our school.

We actively raise money to provide play and school equipment and resources, pay towards school trips, solely fund the school swimming pool and put on events for parents and children throughout the year.

Annually we need to raise £6,000 to pay for the baseline funding needs of the school (Coaches, Leavers Gifts etc.). We also make up the difference in the cost of running the swimming pool and what it generates in membership income.

Our committee is structured as follows:

• Honorary committee team: Chairs, Treasurers, Secretary
• Supported by other committee members with specific roles e.g. events, pool, publicity, grants, communications and lottery
• We also have Year Reps for each class in school including Early Years, dealing with year-specific communications and funding requests

We work closely with Mr Milner, the Governors and all the teachers to understand what is needed - we are really proud of how we support the school each year.

How can you help?

FOLSS is a small team always seeking additional members, especially to assist with fundraising events and the annual raffle.

Members are invited to contribute either in specific roles or on an occasional basis.
